BOpS is Bristol University’s operatic society, a society which offers a platform to students to get involved in the world of opera in every possible way, from singing in the productions to directing and producing or working behind the scenes on costume and set design.

Our society has run for many years at the university, and we have put on several highly acclaimed productions such as Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2013, and last year’s main show, Sweeney Todd in March 2016.

Aside from our main production every year, we also run a festival of opera in the autumn term, called BopsFest, which includes smaller productions, opera screenings, master classes, concerts and more.
